Responsibility
- Strategic Planning: Develop and lead the implementation of the bank's overall strategic plan. This involves setting long-term goals, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs) in alignment with the organisation's mission and vision.
- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats in the financial industry. Stay abreast of regulatory changes, economic developments, and competitive landscapes that may impact the bank's strategic direction.
- Financial Modelling: Create financial models and forecasts to assess the potential impact of strategic initiatives on the bank's financial performance. This includes evaluating investment opportunities, assessing risks, and ensuring financial sustainability.
- Risk Management: Work closely with risk management teams to identify and mitigate potential risks associated with strategic initiatives. This involves assessing the risk-return profile of various projects and ensuring that the bank's risk appetite is maintained.
- Business Development: Identify new business opportunities and areas for growth. Collaborate with business units to develop strategies that drive revenue, increase market share, and enhance the bank's competitive position.
- Performance Measurement: Establish performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the progress of strategic initiatives. Regularly evaluate and report on the effectiveness of implemented strategies.
- Resource Allocation: Collaborate with other senior executives to allocate resources effectively, ensuring that capital, human resources, and technology are deployed to support the bank's strategic objectives.
- Scenario Planning: Develop and analyse various strategic scenarios to prepare the bank for different market conditions and potential disruptions. This helps the bank adapt to changing environments and remain resilient.
- Communication: Effectively communicate the bank's strategy to internal stakeholders, including executives, employees, and board members. Ensure alignment and understanding throughout the organisation.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about regulatory requirements and ensure that the bank's strategic initiatives comply with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Innovation: Foster a culture of innovation within the bank by identifying and exploring emerging trends and technologies that can be leveraged to enhance operations and customer experience.
- Other tasks are assigned and directed by the CEO.
Requirement
- Degree preferably Economics, Business studies or related qualification (preferably a Masters degree)
- Extensive experience (min 10 years) in Strategy and Planning, business development or related roles within the banking or financial services sector.
- Proven track record of successful strategic planning and execution.
- Have Data Analytics and Research experience
- Strong in project management and execution
- Working-level proficiency in both English
- Very creative, proactive, good team player and highly self-driven
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills , including experience in influencing and engaging stakeholders at all levels
- Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
